Truck driving can be a lucrative career, especially if you can land a job that pays well by the mile. One of this week’s job vacancies is for truck drivers and it pays in excess of 40 cents per mile – that equates to $40 per 100 miles and at average speeds of 45-50 mph on the highway, around $20 per hour. Truck drivers who put in 50 hours a week at this rate would earn in excess of $50,000 per year.
